ISO 31001:2018 Principles and Guidelines on Risk Management

The ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management is a standard that establishes several principles that need to be satisfied to make risk management effective. Risk Management can be applied to an entire organization, at its many areas and levels, at any time, as well as to specific functions, projects and activities.

What is Risk?

The ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management systems standards builds the concept of risk into the whole management system.

Organizations of all types and sizes faces internal and external factors and influences that makes it uncertain whether they will achieve their objectives. The effect of this uncertainty has on an organization’s objectives is “risk”.

This one-day course will help provide organizations a framework and process to manage and minimize risks.

This further explains the concept of “Risk-based thinking” in the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintenance and continual improvement of quality and/or environmental management systems.
